UFC On FX 4, Ken Stone Vs. Dustin Pague Results: Stone Wins Via Split Decision

Ken Stone and Dustin Pague entered the third and final round of the opening bout of UFC on FX 4 in an evenly matched battle. Stone pushed the pace early in the third round landing a couple of stiff short punches, but Pague continued to keep Stone at range with his punches and kicks, forcing Stone to attempt another takedown.

As the two fighters were on the cage, Pague reversed position to get Stone's back and get Stone to the ground to score a takedown. Ken Stone quickly reversed position during the scrambled getting Pague's back on the ground, eventually winding up in Pague's guard.

Stone began to work some short stiff shots and elbows while in Pague's closed guard. Eventually Stone worked Pague to the cage and began trying to land some big shots, pinning Pague's head against the cage. Stone continued to push the pressure forward, but with just under thirty seconds left, Pague was able to make it back to his feet while Stone was attempting a transition. The two exchanged short punches and knees, with Stone attempting a throw in the closing seconds.

With Ken Stone holding Dustin Pague on the ground and pattering him with punches controlling the fight for the final two minutes, Stone broke the stalemate and picked up his second UFC victory, beating the The Ultimate Fighter 14 cast member.

Judges scored the bout 29-28 Pague and 29-28, 29-28 for a Ken Stone split decision.

UFC On FX 4, Ken Stone Vs. Dustin Pague Round 2 Results

As Round 2 began, Ken Stone came to the center of the octagon and began throwing some aggressive punches and combinations at Dustin Pague. Stone continued to push the pace and went for the takedown on Pague, nearly getting him to the ground and holding him against the cage.

Stone continued to try to finish his single-leg takedown attempt, but Pague was able to stave it off for a while utilizing double under hooks. Referee Gasper Oliver eventually broke the two and forced a reset in the middle of the octagon. Stone went for a punch inside leg kick combination and caught Pague in the groin, causing a short stoppage as Pague recovered from the accidental low blow.

Pague continued to try to use his range but was backed off by Stone anytime he made his way inside. Pague came in with a feigned leg kick and attempted a spinning back fist, missing. With just over 30 seconds left in the bout, Stone once again attempted a take down, timing a Dustin Pague punch, and held him against the cage. The two finished out Round 2 exchanging a few blows.

I have Stone winning Round 2 10-9, with the bout tied after two rounds 19-19.
