Undrafted rookie DeQuan Jones will start at shooting guard Tuesday night in order to give veteran J.J. Redick a rest, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.
The move makes sense in another way because Redick will likely come off of the bench during the regular season while Arron Afflalo, who was acquired in the Dwight Howard trade, will likely start.
Afflalo continues to sit out with a hamstring injury.
