Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu is hoping that his recovery from a hand injury will be quick.

Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu is hoping for a quick recovery from a broken left hand, sustained in last Friday's home opener against the Denver Nuggets. The injury is expected to keep Turkoglu out for at least a month.

Turkoglu sustained the injury when he took a swipe at the ball with his hand. According to him, he didn't even know there was anything wrong with the hand until trying to catch a pass from guard Jameer Nelson:

Turkoglu got five screws and a plate inserted into his hand during his surgery to try and repair the damage. Head coach Jacque Jones replaced Turkoglu with rookie forward DeQuan Jones against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. In that game he scored two points in 16 minutes played.

The Magic next play against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night from the United Center. Tip off is scheduled for 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on Fox Sports Florida.
