The Orlando Magic bounced back from their miserable performance against the Boston Celtics with an impressive road win over an improved Indiana Pacers team. The Magic got hot in the second half to cruise to a 19-point win. Despite being in foul trouble throughout the first half, Dwight Howard set the Magic franchise record for points. He finished with 14 points and nine rebounds. But it was the Magic's improved shooting, particularly from behind the arc which led to the strong rebound on the second night of a back-to-back.
Orlando shot better than 40 percent from behind the arc, with Ryan Anderson drilling five of seven attempts from downtown. Anderson went 0 for 8 on Monday night in Boston, but came back strong to lead the Magic with 24 points against the Pacers. J.J. Redick and Glen Davis also chipped in with double figures off the bench.
Orlando now heads home, where they will host Thursday the same Boston team they held them to a franchise-low 56 points earlier this week.

After one half in Indianapolis, the Orlando Magic are tied with the Indiana Pacers 45-45. The Magic are shooting 42.5 percent from the floor just one night after scoring a franchise-low 56 points against the Boston Celtics. Power forward Ryan Anderson put up a bagel in that game, going 0 for 8 from the floor. Tonight, he leads the Magic with 11 points and is a perfect three for three from downtown to pace Orlando on the offensive end. Glen Davis has added seven off the bench.
While Dwight Howard's been relatively quiet, Pacer center Roy Hibbert has had success on the inside against the Magic. He has 12 points and six boards, clearly amped up to face off against the best center in the league. It was a much better performance for Orlando, however, who's looking to bounce back from that woeful night in Boston with a road win on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Orlando Magic face the Indiana Pacers for the teams' first meeting of the 2011/12 season Tuesday in a visit to Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
No matter the outcome, Tuesday's game could hardly go worse than Monday's did, as the Boston Celtics thumped the Magic by 31 points and limited them to franchise-worsts in scoring (56) and field goals (16). Indiana, in contrast, has won two straight and seven of its last nine. At 11-4 overall, it owns the second-best record in the Eastern Conference.
Magic center Dwight Howard can become the franchise's all-time leading scorer Tuesday, needing only eight points to break Nick Anderson's record.
