The Orlando Magic were getting pounded by the Atlanta Hawks at halftime on the road, but the Magic were able to stage a rally in the second half. The Magic pulled within a single score of the Hawks, but their late rally was all for nought as the Hawks held on to beat the Magic 83-78, besting Orlando for the second time this season. Orlando struggled to slow down Josh Smith, who ended the night with a double-double scoring 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Orlando couldn't get a lot going in the first half as Dwight Howard ended the night with a double-double, but scoring just 12 points with 12 rebounds and 5 blocks in the loss. J.J. Redick led the Magic in scoring in the loss with 13 points on the night.

The Orlando Magic are on a two-game winning streak, but heading into Atlanta the Hawks look like they're going to snap that streak. At halftime the Hawks hold a 47-30 lead as the Magic offense just hasn't been able to keep pace with the Hawks scoring. The Magic's leading scorer at halftime is Ishmael Smith off the bench with just eight points. Dwight Howard has been limited to just four points and seven rebounds.
The Hawks however haven't struggled scoring in the game, with Josh Smith putting down 14 points in the first half and five rebounds. Atlanta also got a big contribution from Jannero Pargo off the bench with 15 points, hitting on three of his four three-point shot attempts in the first half.

The Hawks are without their two biggest scorers. Can the Magic take advantage and win at Atlanta for the first time in six games?
