The Orlando Magic held an early lead over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, but after the first quarter let the game get of of hand. The Magic were dominated by the Knicks in the remaining three quarters, as the Magic struggled to score at all in the second and third quarters. The Magic ended the night scoring just 86 points after a late surge in the fourth quarter, but it was way too little way too late as the Knicks put down 108.
Dwight Howard finished the game with just 12 points and five rebounds while Jameer Nelson led the Magic in scoring with 17 points. Orlando struggled to score in the game, but the Knicks didn't as both Iman Shumpert and Carmelo Anthony picked up 25 points each with Steve Novak adding 16 points from the bench.
With the loss, the Magic have their three-game winning streak snapped.

The Orlando Magic are trying to win their fourth game in a row and their second over the New York Knicks this season, and looked to be well on their way after the first period. In the second period however, the Magic let a banged up Knicks team right back into the game as New York took the lead. The Knicks were without Amare Stoudamire and Jeremy Lin on the evening, but were still able to battle back and get the 57-41 lead at halftime.
Despite Stoudamire being out, the Knicks were still able to hold Magic center Dwight Howard in check, as Howard finished the first half with just 10 points and the Magic as a whole were out rebounded. The Knicks began to pull away in the second half as the Magic offense just faded into almost nothing, scoring just 12 points in the second half. If Orlando wants to get back into the game in the second half, they'll need to get Howard more involved and improve their three-point shooting, hitting on just 15.4 percent in the first half.
