The Magic have a lot of distractions and injuries, can they overcome them to defeat the New York Knicks at home on Thursday?
Despite the new reports that have surfaced that Stan Van Gundy has been asked to be fired by star player Dwight Howard, the Magic press on with a game against the New York Knicks on Thursday. The Knicks may be without players Jeremy Lin and Amare Stoudemire but have still played well, going 3-2 in the games they have been out.
The Magic on the other hand have not responded well to the injuries on their team. The injuries were especially bad on Tuesday when not only Howard, but guards Jameer Nelson and Ryan Anderson were out in a 102-95 loss to the Detroit PIstons. Anderson has been ruled out of Thursday's game, but both Howard and Nelson are game time decisions.
If they are not able to go the Magic will need to rely heavily on Glen Davis, who scored a career-high 31 points on Tuesday. Even then they need to get some help from the perimeter or else it will be another long night for the Magic.
The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip off from the Amway Center in Orlando. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.
