The Orlando Magic have had to deal with a ton of injuries lately and have dropped to sixth in the conference. Can the Magic get their first win against Detroit this season on Monday?
The Orlando Magic has been struggling with injuries and issues as of late and its cost them in the standings. The Magic currently stand sixth place in the Eastern Conference after snapping a five game losing streak against Philadelphia on Saturday. The 88-82 victory was a tough one as the Magic only shot 36.3 percent from the field. They face a Detroit Pistons team on Monday that has defeated them three consecutive times including a 102-95 loss on April 3.
The Magic will be without star forward Dwight Howard in this game as he is still dealing with back issues. Hedo Turkoglu will also be out with facial fractures. Jameer Nelson should be able to go on Monday and Ryan Anderson will most likely be a game-time decision. Shooting may be something that can help the Magic, but they will need help in the interior game since Howard will be absent.
The Magic will also need to stop Ben Gordon who has averaged 20 points per game and shot 51.2 percent in the three victories against Orlando this season.
The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start from the Amway Center. Television coverage will be provided by Fox Sports Florida.
