Ryan Anderson Named NBA's Most Improved Player

The NBA made it official on Friday. Ryan Anderson was named the NBA's Most Improved Player of the 2011-12 season after averaging career highs in points, 16.1, rebounds, 7.7 and field goal percentage at .439. The Magic were 13.4 points better per 100 possessions with the 6'10" Anderson on the floor compared to when he was seated on the bench.

Anderson received 260 out of a possible 605 points, with 33 first place votes. Second place in the voting was Ersan Ilyasova of the Milwaukee Bucks with 159 points and 21 first place votes. Third place was Nikola Pekovic of the Minnesota Timberwolves with 104 points and 10 first place votes.

With winning this award, Kia Motors America will donate a Sorento CUV in Anderson's name to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida.
