After playing just four snaps in the Dolphins' season-opening loss to Houston, Miami fullback Jorvorskie Lane played 48 of the Dolphins' 75 snaps Sunday and was the only player to see time at the position. The Phinsider has a full breakdown of the snap counts for each Miami offensive player.

The move paid off for Miami, as Reggie Bush rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries and caught three passes for 25 yards. Rookie Lamar Miller totaled 65 yards on 10 carries and also scored a touchdown.

Lane proved his worth both as a lead blocker and as a runner in Miami's 35-13 win over Oakland Sunday, The Phinsider says. The former Texas A&M back rushed for 12 yards on 4 carries Sunday. The Dolphins face off against a tough New York Jets run defense this Sunday.

Dolphins Home Opener Win Worth Savoring

On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins won their first home opener since 2005, defeating the Oakland Raiders, 35-13. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was smiling and joking with reporters, something not usually seen since Ross bought the team:

It's the first home opener since I've been around that we've won so it's a thrilling thing. I think we're really on to something. I'm excited about it.

The mood in the locker room after the victory was festive. First-year coach Joe Philbin was awarded the game ball by the players and was seen bouncing up and down in the room afterwards, celebrating with the team.

Offensive tackle Jake Long helped spearhead a running attack that gained 263 yards on 43 carries. Though they may be sore on Monday, there were no complaints from Long because of the end result:

There's nothing better than the locker room after a win. With the [0-4] preseason, we haven't had a win in a long time. The guys were just excited. Everybody's happy. We're not sore. It's a great feeling.

The Dolphins next play the New York Jets at Sun Life Stadium next Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kick off and will be broadcast on CBS.

It took some time for Miami's offense to wake up on Sunday, but once it finally got rolling, the Dolphins completely took over the game. Their 35-13 win over the Oakland Raiders was a tale of two halves, as SB Nation's The Phinsider pointed out:

While the first half saw both teams start slowly, with both teams on pace to break punting records, the Dolphins' 28 point explosion in the second half took care of any doubt about the outcome.

After a tough debut, rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill was much improved in Week 2. He completed 18 of 30 passes for one touchdown and did not throw an interception. And Reggie Bush had a huge game, piling up 172 yards on 26 carries. The Dolphins finished the game with 452 yards of total offense.

A field positioning battle opened up in the second half as the Miami Dolphins were able to outgun the Oakland Raiders and secure their first victory of the season, much to the pleasure of The Phinsider. The star of the game was clearly running back Reggie Bush, who carried the ball 26 times for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Bush also caught three balls for 25 yards.

The connection between rookie quarterback and wideout Brian Hartline was also of note to The Phinsider, as the combination worked well together:

Nine of Tannehill's completions went to wide receiver Brian Hartline, who added a career high 111 yards along with his career high in receptions.

The Miami Dolphins had a big second half, as they defeated the Oakland Raiders, 35-13, and outscored Oakland 28-3 in the third and fourth quarters. The running game led the Dolphins to victory, as they rushed for 259 yards and four touchdowns.

The running dominance started in the third quarter, when running back Reggie Bush rushed for 95 yards and had a pair of touchdowns. Then, in the fourth quarter, Ryan Tannehill had his first touchdown of the game on a 14-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Fasano and backup running back Lamar Miller scored on a 15-yard run to put the game away.

The Dolphins defense completely shut down the Raiders offense by holding them to just three second half points, and held running back Darren McFadden to just 22 yards.

For those who had Bush on their fantasy football team, they were heavily rewarded as he had 172 rushing yards and two touchdowns, plus he also caught three passes for 25 yards.

The Dolphins easily covered the three-point spread in this game, and it all started with their second half dominance.

The Dolphins will host the New York Jets next week.

The Miami Dolphins offense picked up their game in the third quarter as they scored 14 points and now lead the Oakland Raiders 21-10 heading into the fourth quarter. Running back Reggie Bush has come alive for the Dolphins by scoring both third quarter touchdowns, the first was a 23-yard run and the second score went for 65 yards.

In the third quarter Bush has rushed for 95 yards, and for the game currently has 129 yards and is averaging 7.6 yads per carry.

The Dolphins defense has continued to play well as they forced the Raiders to punt the ball four times in the third quarter, and three of those possessions the Raiders punted after just three plays.

At the end of the first half, the Miami Dolphins trail the Oakland Raiders 10-7. The only points scored in the second quarter was a 25-yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski. The big play of the Raiders length drive was a 31-yard completion from Carson Palmer to David Ausberry that put Oakland within striking distance

The Dolphins offense was stopped in the second quarter. In their four second-quarter possessions, they had three drives where the Dolphins punted after three plays, and only their opening drive of the quarter went beyond that. That drive still just went seven plays before ending with a punt.

Starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill has struggled for Miami as he just 9-for-19 with 85 yards.

Dolphins Vs. Raiders Score Update: Teams Tied 7-7 After 1st Quarter

After one quarter of play, the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders are tied at seven points apiece. The Dolphins got on the board first when quarterback Ryan Tannehill scored from two yards out.

That drive was a lengthy 12-play, 80-yard drive that saw Tannehill rush for 15 yards and complete 2-of-4 passes for 36 yards. Plus, starting running back Reggie Bush played a big role by running the ball six times for 29 yards.

The Raiders responded to score a touchdown of their own when Carson Palmer threw a short pass to running back Mike Goodson, who ended up taking the quick pass 64 yards for a touchdown at the end of the first quarter.
