The USF Bulls (3-1) face the Penn State Nittany Lions (3-1) in the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-off Tournament this Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm.
After losing yesterday to Old Dominion, the USF Bulls (3-1) face another tough challenge today. The Bulls will play the Penn State Nittany Lions (3-1) in both team's second game in the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-off Tournament.
In their first game of the tournament, Penn State suffered their first loss of the season, falling to No. 2 Kentucky by a score of 85-47. The game was Penn State's worst loss since 2004, and it reinforces the fact that this season's Nittany Lions simply aren't a good team. They aren't ranked, they didn't fall anywhere within Sports Illustrated's preseason list of top 70 college basketball teams, and they're not expected to be contenders for the NCAA Tournament.
To be fair, you could say all those same things about the Bulls, but USF should still be able to handily pull out a win today.
