When the AP preseason polls for college football were released, USF was nowhere to be seen. They received no points in the poll and were left unranked, falling outside the top 25. But after their victory over Notre Dame this past weekend, the Bulls all of a sudden are getting some respect.
USF garnered 221 points in this week's AP poll, ranking them #22 overall and ahead of Penn State, Texas, and TCU. They joined the Seminoles (#5) and Gators (#18) among Florida schools ranked in the top 25.
While the Bulls got credit among the mainstream writers for their success this past weekend, USF went unranked in the SB Nation BlogPoll -- a poll similar in format to the AP Poll, but with college football bloggers as the voters. The Bulls were ranked by the Ken and Charlie over at Voodoo Five, but apparently they weren't able to get enough support to make the rankings otherwise. (Scratch that all. Those BlogPoll results were for before Week One.)
Full AP poll results are after the jump.
