The South Florida Bulls made a strong showing against Notre Dame this past weekend, winning 23-20 and earning themselves a spot in the AP Top 25 poll, so you'd think a matchup against Ball State would seem like small potatoes in comparison. The Ball State Cardinals an unranked team that went 4-8 last season, so they should make for a relatively quick romp for the Bulls.
Or so you'd think. Bulls head coach Skip Holtz isn't underestimating the Cardinals, though, going so far as to say, "This don't get any easier, with us having Ball State this week." If he's trying to keep his players focused on a game-by-game basis, I'm sure he got their attention with that.
