South Florida ended up on the right side of the bubble, earning a 12 seed. The Bulls will play Cal in their first game in the First Four round in Dayton.
The 2012 NCAA Tournament bracket and field has been announced, and the South Florida Bulls will received a 12 seed in the Midwest region. The Bulls' first opponent will be the California in the First Four round, and they will play in Dayton on Wednesday. If the Bulls win their first matchup, they will face the No. 5 seed Temple.

The Bulls earned the 12 seed after sweating it out on Selection Sunday. They were squarely on the bubble after falling just short against Notre Dame in the Big East quarterfinals. The Bulls' quality computer numbers ultimately were enough to overcome a poor record against top-50 opponents and several bad losses in non-conference season.
