It's the first time South Florida will play host to the NCAA's best golfers.
For the first time since the elder Bush was president, the state of Florida will be playing host to the NCAA men's and women's golf championship when it comes through in 2015.
The championships will take place at a private course, The Concession Golf Club, in Bradenton and the University of South Florida was named host. The exact dates for the tournament have yet to be announced.
When the tournament was last in the Sunshine State in 1990, Arizona State emerged as the team champion with host Florida at runner-up by just two strokes. The Arizona State women topped the podium as well with UCLA coming in second.
USF has hosted a number of NCAA events before, including the 2008 women's Final Four, the 1999 men's Final Four and 1990 men's soccer Final Four.
Texas won the men's championship last year with Alabama taking second. The Crimson Tide women's team claimed the national championship with USC coming in second.
