The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are across the pond this weekend as they "host" the Chicago Bears at Wembley Stadium in London. Neither of these teams has really flown out of the gates this year, so this should be a pretty difficult game to pick. Throw in the fact that the cross-Atlantic trip can mess with even the best teams, and you have a game that could confound most oddsmakers. Here is what our partners at OddsShark have to say about the matchup.
The NFL goes back to London for the fifth straight year and two teams coming off statement wins are making the trek to Wembley Stadium. The Bucs arrived Monday and will run practices during the week while the Bears arrive Friday. Tampa Bay came up with a huge 26-20 win over the Saints last week, while the Bears crushed the Vikings. But Chicago encounters an unfavorable trend heading into their bye week - they are just 2-7 ATS in the past nine seasons before a bye week.
Here are the total odds vis the SB Nation odds page.
| 10/23/2011 | Chicago | 42o-105 | 43½o-110 | -1-110 |
| 1:00 PM | Tampa Bay | -1½-104 | 0+100o-110 | 43½o-110 |

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been hurt by the injury bug this year, but things appear to be getting better in some cases. According to our very own Buccaneers blog Bucs Nation, Gerald McCoy, Sammie Stroughter and Luke Stocker have all returned to practice, which makes it a strong possibility that they will play against the Bears in London on Sunday.
McCoy suffered a high ankle sprain two weeks ago, and the injury looked very serious when it occurred. McCoy was walking on crutches towards the end of that game, so it is good that he is already getting close to a return.
Sammie Stroughter doesn't necessarily have a place in the offense anymore, but depth at wide receiver is always a good thing. Stocker is an offensive lineman, and with Jeff Faine missing practice, depth there is always a plus as well.
But the injury bug giveth and the bug taketh away. Like I said center Jeff Faine missed practice as did LeGarrette Blount. But the injury situation could change as the game gets closer.
We'll be covering this game all week in this StoryStream. For more on the Buccaneers check out Bucs Nation. For more on the Bears head over to Windy City Gridiron and SB Nation Chicago.
