Earnest Graham Injury Update: Buccaneers Running Back Has Torn Achilles Tendon, According to Report

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 24-18 in London Sunday to the Chicago Bears, and to make matters worse they lost running back Earnest Graham to a leg injury in the first quarter. Strike that, this news from @ProFootballTalk is even worse for Tampa Bay:

Earnest Graham has a torn Achilles tendon, per league source.

Already without LeGarrette Blount, it would be safe to say the Buccaneers are decimated in the backfield, and most likely will be scouring the league for replacement bodies to play running back in coming weeks.

Bears Vs. Buccaneers: Tampa Bay Rallies In Fourth Quarter, But Falls Short In 24-18 Loss

After looking lifeless for three quarters of play, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rallied in the fourth quarter before eventually falling short and losing 24-18 to the Chicago Bears. The game was played across the pond at Wembley Stadium, and it was Tampa Bay's second loss in the last three seasons in London.

Josh Freeman led Tampa Bay on two fourth quarter scoring drives, trimming the lead to 21-18 with seven minutes to play. After Chicago stretched the lead to six on a Robbie Gould field goal, the Buccaneers rally was snuffed out when Freeman was picked off by D.J. Moore with 37 seconds left in the game. Freeman finished the game 29 of 51 for 264 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.

Matt Forte was the star of the day, gaining 145 yards on 25 carries, scoring on a 32-yard run in the first quarter that made Buccaneers defenders look foolish. Jay Cutler was 17 of 32 for 226 yards, throwing for one touchdown and two interceptions.

Bears Vs. Buccaneers: Chicago Scores Early In Third Quarter, Leads Tampa Bay 21-5

The Chicago Bears took no time at all to extend their halftime lead against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their Sunday London matchup. After a Buccaneers three and out to start the second half, Chicago marched 55 yards down the field in seven plays and just over three minutes, scoring on an 12 yard run by Marion Barber to make the score 21-5.

Tampa Bay has struggled mightily on offense throughout the contest. The Buccaneers have just seven first downs in the game, and have amassed just 154 yards of total offense to the Bears' 322 total yards.

The Buccaneers are going to need some sort of Josh Freeman-led miracle in the fourth quarter if they hope to leave Wembley Stadium with a victory.

Bears Vs. Buccaneers: After Ugly First Half, Tampa Bay Trails Chicago 14-5

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' second trip across the pond in three seasons is not going so well. Tampa Bay trails the Chicago Bears 14-5 at halftime, and frankly they are lucky to have any points on the board given their play in the first half.

Quarterback Josh Freeman is just 13 of 23 for 104 yards, and an interception. The Buccaneers lost running back Earnest Graham to injury in the first quarter, and his replacement Kregg Lumpkin has just 20 yards on 5 carries.

Chicago running back Matt Forte has already gained 108 yards on 15 carries, and made the Buccaneers defenders look absolutely foolish on his first quarter 32-yard touchdown run. Bears' quarterback Jay Cutler has not been asked to do much, completing 8 of 14 passes for 95 yards, with an interception and a touchdown toss to much-maligned wide receiver Roy Williams.

Bears Vs. Buccaneers: Tampa Bay Trails Chicago 7-2 After First Quarter

It has been an ugly start to the London matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears. The Bears lead 7-2 after one quarter of play, thanks to the legs of running back Matt Forte and some pretty terrible tackling by Tampa Bay defenders. In fact, Forte is responsible for all of the points in the game, as he was stopped in the end zone for a safety, accounting for the two measly points the Buccaneers have mustered.

Already without LeGarrette Blount for this game, Tampa Bay lost Earnest Graham to a leg injury midway through the first quarter. Josh Freeman, the backfield is all yours.

Earnest Graham Injury Update: Buccaneers Running Back Has Leg Injury, According To Report

It has been a rough start for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their London matchup with the Chicago Bears. Already down 7-0 after being unable to properly tackle Chicago running back Matt Forte, it appears the Buccaneers have lost running back Earnest Graham to injury. Via SInow:

Already without LeGarrette Blount for this game, the Buccaneers are now woefully undermanned in the backfield. Josh Freeman, hope you enjoy heavy lifting.

NFL Injury Report, Week 7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

According to the Official Tampa Bay Buccaneers Twitter, here are the changes from the earlier injury report provided by NFL.com. The following players are inactive: WR Sammie Stroughter, CB Myron Lewis, RB LeGarrette Blount, C Jeff Faine, T James Lee, TE Zach Pianalto, and DT Gerald McCoy. Both TE Luke Stocker and LB Mason Foster are active after being listed as questionable and probable in the initial injury report.

According to this site, the Bears' inactives are QB Nathan Enderle, WR Earl Bennett, T Gabe Carimi, DE Corey Wootton, DE Mario Addison, DT Matt Toeaina and S Major Wright. Wright was originally listed as probable in the injury report. Since he is unable to go, backup S Chris Harris will start in his stead, according to the same Buccaneers Twitter page. Harris only has five tackles in limited action this season.

Stay tuned to SB Nation Tampa for in game updates on the only NFL game on the other side of the pond between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears.

NFL Week 7: Bucs Vs. Bears Injury Report

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in London, England, today, preparing for an overseas clash against the inconsistent and dangerous Chicago Bears. The Bucs may have the advantage in most categories over the Bears, but a healthy Bears team can present a wild threat to most any team.

Last week, the Bucs survived without the aid of running back LaGarrette Blount -- and they will need to do the same against the Bears as his "mysterious" knee injury (*cough* torn MCL *cough*) has him doubtful again in Week 7.

Fortunately, it appears the Bucs will have the services of pass-rushing defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, though tight end Luke Stocker appears likely to be in street clothes.

The Bears meanwhile, have a relatively clean bill of health. The explosive Devin Hester left last week's game early with a chest injury, but the injury appeared marginal and he is cleared to go Sunday.

Wide receiver Earl Bennett, who has missed several weeks, climbs to Probable for the first time; however, it would appear Jay Cutler has gotten on fine without his old college roommate, targeting un-drafted free agent rookie Dane Sanzenbacher 7 times in the end zone during Bennett's absence. Starting tight end and (recently promoted) starting safety Major Wright are both probable from injuries last week, but both should be good to go.

Rookie right tackle Gabe Carimi is out and has been out for some time, prompting several offensive line re-shuffles from the Bears. The line has struggled mightily in Carimi's absence, but last week showed glimpses of average-ness, allowing only one sack.
