Buccaneers Coaching Search: Team To Interview Mike Sherman, Mike Mularkey, and Jerry Gray

As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to search for their new head coach--they canned Raheem Morris after a 4-12 season which ended with 10 straight losses--word on which candidates they intend to interview has broken. Mike Sherman, a former Green Bay Packers and Texas A&M Aggies coach, confirmed to the Tampa Bay Times that "an interview is in the process of being scheduled."

In addition, the Bucs "plan" to do their due diligence on Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey; the Times reports they "plan" to interview Mularkey, whose career began with the Bucs in 1992 "as an offensive quality control assistant under Sam Wyche."

Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray, a former Buccaneers player, is another candidate for the Tampa Bay head-coaching gig, "but the team had not formally asked for permission from the Titans Tuesday."

Tampa Bay will interview those candidates along with former Titans coach Jeff Fisher, who might be the team's top choice.
