Chiefs vs. Buccaneers injuries: Bucs healthy following bye week

The Bucs are relatively healthy following their bye week while the Chiefs had 10 players listed on their Wednesday injury report.

Fresh off their bye week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are nearly completely healthy with only one active player not fully participating in Wednesday's practice.

Tampa Bay listed Carl Nicks, Jeremy Trueblood and Eric Wright on its Wednesday practice report, but only Wright was limited. Nicks was a full participant despite a toe injury while Trueblood practiced fully with an illness. Wright, who is dealing with a head injury and an illness, was a limited participant.

While Tampa Bay is healthy, the Kansas City Chiefs have a number of injury issues. The Chiefs listed 10 different players on their Wednesday injury report including starting quarterback Matt Cassel who did not practice with a concussion. Defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, running back Peyton Hillis and wide receiver Devon Wylie also missed practice on Wednesday.

Offensive lineman Ryan Lilja, wide receiver John Baldwin and running back Shaun Draughn were limited in Wednesday's practice. Lilja and Baldwin have played recently despite being listed on the injury report during the week. Defensive backs Jalil Brown and Kendrick Lewis both practiced fully despite injuries, as did defensive end Ropati Pitoitua.

With his concussion, Cassel will have to pass NFL mandated tests before being allowed to practice. If he is unable, Brady Quinn would likely start for Kansas City.
