Buccaneers vs. Vikings 2012 game preview: Tampa Bay plays Minnesota on national stage

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football this week. What happened the last two times these teams tangled?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to play the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football. The Buccaneers are coming off a 35-28 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 14 In that game, quarterback Josh Freeman completed 24-of-42 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Doug Martin carried the ball 16 times for 85 yards and a touchdown as well.

The last time these two teams played each other was on Sept. 18 last season, where the Buccaneers won 24-20 on a 4-yard touchdown run by LeGarrette Blount with 31 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Freeman completed 22-of-31 passes for 243 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The defense was not able to slow down Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who ran 25 times for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
