Buccaneers could make some changes after bye week

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to change some things up after starting 1-3 on the season. What are some specifics of the changes?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter Week 6's game against the Kansas City Chiefs mulling some changes after their bye week. The Buccaneers enter Week 6 with a 1-3 record, only a half-game ahead of both the 1-4 New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers and three-and-a-half games back of the undefeated Atlanta Falcons.

Head coach Greg Schiano and his coaching staff have been reviewing the three losses to the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, all by a combined 15 points, to try and adjust things, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Among some of the changes that Schiano may have planned is a change at right guard.

"We're moving a few guys through there,'' Schiano said. "We'll probably evaluate that some (today, when the players are off), and try to kind of lock into something. Maybe one or two guys at right guard, that's been the position that's been up in the air."

Some of the players that Schiano could move there include Ted Larsen, who has started all four games this season with mixed results, Jamon Meredith and Cody Wallace. The Bucs are also using the bye week to try and streamline the offensive playcalling to quarterback Josh Freeman.
