Buccaneers Coaching Search: Packers Block TE Coach From Interviewing For OC Position

Stay connected for news and updates

The Buccaneers are just having the hardest time filling out their staff under new head coach Greg Schiano. They wanted to approach Green Bay Packers TE coach Ben McAdoo to be the offensive coordinator, but according to Jason La Canfora, the Packers blocked their coach from interviewing.

And this isn't the first time that this has happened to them.

Moving up the coaching ladder is just a part of the life of NFL coaches, so it surprises me to see all these teams block their coaches from interviewing. Maybe it means they aren't really interested in that position and the team is saving face for them. Either way, it doesn't reflect positively on the Buccaneers franchise.
