Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times has tweeted that the Buccanners and former San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson "is close to a done deal". He reports that the Bucs "have put a full-court press on him" to try and steer other teams toward other options.
Jackson has been one of the more attractive free agents on the market and drew interest from numerous teams.
In 2011, Jackson had just 60 receptions yet had 1,106 receiving yards and had nine receiving touchdowns. In seven professional seasons, Jackson has had three years of 1,000 or more receiving yards and has been elected to the Pro Bowl twice.
