2012 NFL Free Agency: Buccaneers Sign Back Up Quarterback Dan Orlovsky

Stay connected for news and updates

The Buccaneers are not quite done with their free agency spending spree, but the level of the players they are signing has decreased a little bit. After a whirlwind few days of signing big name players, the Buccaneers have locked up a player who will play backup quarterback for them in Dan Orlovsky.

Orlovsky was a member of the Indianapolis Colts last season when he was part of a really ineffective quarterback unit with Curtis Painter. He threw for over 1,200 yards and six touchdowns. He is a player that can fill in adequately for Josh Freeman should an injury ever arise.
