John McCargo Released By Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have trimmed their roster on Wednesday afternoon, releasing defensive tackle John McCargo according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

McCargo was originally the 26th overall pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2006 NFL Draft, much to the surprise of most draft experts. McCargo has dealt with injuries and struggled to make a real impact at his position. The Buccaneers signed McCargo in free agency in 2011, but was waived shortly afterward only to be re-signed once again due to an injury by Gerald McCoy.

McCargo was once again released by the Bucs when the team picked up Albert Haynesworth and was re-signed a week later after another defensive line injury. McCargo played in just five games for the Bucs last season.
