Donald Penn Injury: Buccaneers OT Placed On NFI List

Stay connected for news and updates

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without their staring left tackle for a few practices. Donald Penn has a "significant" calf strain and has been replaced on the reserve/non-football injury (NFI) list.

Penn has started all 16 games for the last four seasons for the Buccaneers and has established himself as one of the best left tackles in the NFL. Luckily for the Bucs, his injury is just a strain and not a tear, meaning he shouldn't miss significant time. The Bucs list four-year veteran James Lee as his backup at left tackle, and he should fill in with the first team offense as long as Penn is unable to practice.
