The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released G Brian Folkerts from the practice squad to make room for T Bradley Sowell, according to Tom Krasniqi of WDAE Tampy Bay.

The Bucs signed Sowell as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi over the summer. The rookie was a two-time All-SEC selection and started 36 of his final 37 games at Ole Miss.

Folkerts was a four-year letterman at Washburn, a Division II program in Topeka, Kansas. He made 39 career starts for the Ichabods, playing at both tackle positions.

Joining Sowell on the Bucs' practice squad will be LB Jacob Cutrera, TE Drake Dunsmore, WR Dale Moss, WR Bert Reed, LB J.K. Schaffer, QB Adam Weber and DE Markus White. The group will now focus on helping Tampa Bay prepare for their opener against the Carolina Panthers next Sunday.
