Lightning To Honor Military Service Members & Veterans At Tonight's Game

In addition to the food drive that will take place prior to tonight's game between the Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs at the St. Pete Times Forum, there will also be festivities to recognize past, present and future members of the military in honor of Veteran's Day later this week.

  • On the plaza outside the Forum beginning at 4:30 will be a display of military combat vehicles with a free concert by Colt Clark.
  • Fans will be able to write thank-you notes that will be deliverd to troops serving abroad.
  • Lightning players will autograph an American flag.
  • Inside, prior to the game will be a mass swearing-in ceremony for new recruits
  • Throughout the game, various video tributes will be displayed on the scoreboard.
  • Fans can buy tickets and an equal number of tickets will be donated to the military in that fan's name. Call (813) 301-6600 for details on that program.
