Steven Stamkos was named a finalist for the NHL's Hart Trophy, given to the league's most valuable player. Who are the other two finalists and when will the awards take place?
Despite the Tampa Bay Lightning not making the playoffs this season, center Steven Stamkos was rewarded for his amazing 60-goal season by being named a finalist for the NHL's Hart Trophy, given to the league's most valuable player. He is joined by New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist and Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin as the three finalists.
In addition to the 60 goals that Stamkos scored during the 2011-12 season, he also recorded 37 assists along with 12 power play goals and 12 game-winning goals. Stamkos has already won one award this offseason, the Maurice 'Rocket' Richard Trophy, given to the league's leading scorer.
To celebrate his achievements, the Tampa Bay Lightning's official website published and extensive infographic summarizing his entire season.

The NHL awards will be announced in Las Vegas at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel on June 20. The ceremony will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network
