All 20,000 Free Tickets Gone In Under 90 Minutes

All 20,000 free tickets to tonight’s Rays game are now gone and team officials are saying there a “a few” tickets left that are available for purchase. The team began letting fans in for free at 4:45 and ran out of tickets by 6:10.

Props to all the Rays fans for showing ownership that its not a lack of support on our part but purely a debate of location and economy. And again props to ownership for this great gesture.

Rays To Give Away 20,000 Free Tickets To Wednesdays Game

ST. PETERSBURG - In the face of mounting criticism from a fan base feeling slighted by remarks made Tuesday by franchise players David Price and Evan Longoria, the Tampa Bay Rays have announced that they will leave 20,000 free tickets at the Tropicana Field box office for anyone that would like to attend Wednesday's regular season home finale against the Baltimore Orioles.

Team President Matt Silverman hopes that by giving away these tickets they can pack the Trop and create a playoff atmosphere and buzz heading towards the October postseason.

Fans interested in obtaining the free tickets need only show up at Tropicana Field after 4:45pm on Wednesday to claim their free ticket.

The Rays clinched their second ever playoff berth Tuesday with a win over the Baltimore Orioles.
