All 20,000 free tickets to tonight’s Rays game are now gone and team officials are saying there a “a few” tickets left that are available for purchase. The team began letting fans in for free at 4:45 and ran out of tickets by 6:10.
Props to all the Rays fans for showing ownership that its not a lack of support on our part but purely a debate of location and economy. And again props to ownership for this great gesture.
Team President Matt Silverman hopes that by giving away these tickets they can pack the Trop and create a playoff atmosphere and buzz heading towards the October postseason.
Fans interested in obtaining the free tickets need only show up at Tropicana Field after 4:45pm on Wednesday to claim their free ticket.
