According to gossip website TMZ, former Ray Manny Ramirez has been arrested and is currently in custody in Florida. This report has yet to be confirmed, and there are no details as to why Ramirez has been arrested.

After having a disappointing 2010 season, Ramirez signed a one-year deal this past offseason to play with the Tampa Bay Rays this year. But after only appearing in one game, it came out that Ramirez had tested positive for steroids in Spring Training and he was forced to either serve a 100-game suspension or retire. Manny Being Manny, he decided to retire and spend travel to Spain instead.

Up until now, I'd assumed Ramirez was still in Spain and enjoying his newfound freedom. If not for all the steroid accussations swirling around him, he'd be a surefire Hall of Famer, so here's hoping that whatever he was arrested for is humorous and not saddening.
