Rays Vs. White Sox Final Score: Tampa Bay Gets Swept, 4-3

The Tampa Bay Rays were trying to close out a gome game against Chicago by avoiding a sweep by the White Sox on Wednesday afternoon, but just couldn't get a rally going in the final three innings after getting themselves within a run in the sixth. Carlos Pena hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Rays three runs, cutting into the White Sox lead. After that though, the closest the Rays came was in the bottom of the ninth with two on and two out, as Luke Scott popped out to the shortstop.

The White Sox broke the ice first, plating a run in the top of the first inning on an Alex Rios single. Scott tied the game for the Rays with a solo home run in the next inning but the White Sox plated three more runs through the next three innings, which was enough to win the game.

The Rays have now lost three games in a row and four of their last five, ending the month of May with a 14-14 record.
