Designated hitter Jeff Keppinger launched a solo home run to deep left field in the top of the second inning to give the Tampa Bay Rays an early one-run advantage. Since, though, the Rays are playing a bit of catch up and trail the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 3-1 in Anaheim.
The Halos, though down early, added three runs in the third following two-run double from Albert Pujols that scored Mike Trout and Torii Hunter. During the next at-bat, Mark Trumbo singled to score Pujols.
Alex Cobb, who took the hill for the Rays on Friday night, is still in -- though he has tossed 84 pitches through six.
