Rays Vs. Indians: Alex Cobb, Tampa Bay Need Bounce Back Win

The Indians hit three home runs and scored just three runs in Thursday's victory over the Rays. With just one run, the Tampa Bay offense struggled to match Cleveland's efforts as the Rays lost their eighth in their last 11 games.

Now they'll look to bounce back from the defeat with Alex Cobb on the mound. In his last two starts Cobb has allowed a combined 12 earned runs and 21 hits in just over 13 innings. The struggles in the two starts ballooned Cobb's ERA from 3.82 to 4.94.

The Rays can help out Cobb's struggles by providing a little more run support when they face Justin Masterson who has had some struggles of his own. His struggles have seemingly passed, though, as the 27-year old has won three of his last four starts including a seven inning performance in his last outing in which he allowed just one run.

The first pitch from Cobb is scheduled to be thrown at 7:05 p.m. at Progressive Field. The game will be televised on MLB Network, Sun Sports and STO.
