Royals Vs. Rays: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

Stay connected for news and updates

After losing a tough 10-inning game on Tuesday night, the Tampa Bay Rays will have a quick turnaround for a Wednesday get-away game against the Kansas City Royals.

Tampa Bay will try to win the rubber match against Kansas City and increase their lead in the AL wild card race, which the Rays grabbed after winning 12 of their last 15 games.

Even with an extra wild card this year, they don't have too much breathing room, not with five teams (Baltimore, Boston, Detroit, L.A. and Oakland) still hanging around in the post-season discussion.

James Shields, who has a 11-7 record with a 4.03 ERA, takes the mound for Tampa against Luis Mendoza of the Royals. Mendoza has gone 7-8 with a 4.26 ERA this year.

TV: SunSports

Time: 1:10 PM EST
