Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Five teams are undefeated in Conference USA play, including Central Florida.

The Central Florida Knights picked up their first conference win of the season when they defeated East Carolina on Saturday, and that has them in a tie for first with Memphis in Conference USA's East Division. In the West Division, Tulsa improved to 3-0 in league play after beating Marshall over the weekend and has a hold on first place. Houston and SMU are in second place with 1-0 records.

Central Florida and Houston were the consensus picks to win their respective divisions during the preseason. Southern Mississippi was expected to compete in the East, but the Golden Eagles have stumbled to a winless start in 2012.
