With USF riding a four-game losing streak into its bye week, head coach Skip Holtz is ready to shake up the depth chart.

USF head coach Skip Holtz is looking for solutions to the Bulls' four-game losing streak, to the point that he's shaking up the depth chart based on three practices this week, he said Thursday.

Holtz told the Tampa Bay Times that players have been graded on every play and moved within the depth chart accordingly. USF is fortunate to have the weekend off, giving the Bulls extra time to figure out their lineups. Two young players getting extra attention are redshirt freshman linebacker Zack Bullock and true freshman linebacker Tashon Whitehurst. Though he's seen limited playing time, fans might remember Whitehurst for his punt block against Florida State.

With seniors Michael Lanaris and Sam Barrington out with minor injuries, the younger players have been given more opportunities to shine:

"I think all those young guys bring something to the table. They're bringing a new energy and excitement and enthusiasm to the field right now that's fun to watch."
