Furious Lightning Rally Not Enough To Catch Predators

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) – Anders Lindback stopped 42 shots for his third win of the season, and Nashville remained the lone team without a regulation loss after holding on to beat the red-hot Tampa Bay Lightning, 4-3, at St. Pete Times Forum.

Lindback moved to 3-0-1 this season for the Predators, who have earned at least a point in each of their first eight games this season (5-0-3). Goals from Cody Franson, Shea Weber, Colin Wilson and Sergei Kostitsyn helped Nashville win in Tampa Bay for the first time since 1999.

Sean Bergenheim, Adam Hall and Martin St. Louis scored for the Lightning, who had won five of their first seven games. Former Predator Dan Ellis was beaten four times on 26 shots in his first game against his old club to take the loss.
