Hockey 'N Heels! or Really Cool Sports Cliffs Notes

It’s tough learning about a new-to-me sport. OK – maybe it’s just tough for me. I’m never taking those hours upon hours I spent sitting on a some slightly-rotting wood bleachers watching my brother play baseball or the Sunday afternoons that started with Brent Musburger, Phyllis George, Jimmy the Greek and the rest of The NFL Today gang and ended with the late game cutting into 60 Minutes.

I’m watching a good bit of hockey. I’m not understanding and truly appreciating hockey. Yet.

↵

The groovy folks at the Tampa Bay Lightning have come to my aid with an event for chicks just like me who want to learn about hockey but need a little help – and some hands-on demonstration – to get started.

Called Hockey ‘N Heels, it’s from 6-10 pm on Monday, November 8 at the St. Pete Times Forum.

It’s got everything a girl looking to get to know hockey could want:

    On-ice instruction with Lightning players
    ↵
  • ↵
  • ↵
    Rules officials

  • ↵
    Coach’s chat
    ↵
  • ↵
  • ↵
    Lightning off-ice personalities
    ↵
  • ↵

If that wasn’t fab enough, the cost of the evening includes a plaza level ticket for the Lightning versus Maple Leafs game the next night (Tuesday, November 9).

Such a deal!

Sound good? Interested? Call Behn Custard with the Lightning at 813-301-6755.

I’ll be there – come join me and we can start our careers as hockey chicks together.

Go Lightning!
