Cadillac Williams TD Makes It 7-0 Tampa Bay

Cadillac Williams continued his adjustment to his new role as the team’s third down back and added his third touchdown of the season in the second quarter today against San Francisco. Williams scampered 6 yards for the score to cap a masterful 14-play, 80 yard drive to give the Buccaneers the lead.

The Tampa Bay defense has bottled up 49ers running back Frank Gore, allowing him only 13 yards on 9 carries. Quarterback Troy Smith hasn’t fared much better, throwing for only 40 yards as the 49er offense has failed to sustain any drives.

The Bucs would get the ball back with under a minute left in the half but chose to run the clock out instead of attempting for more points and have gone into the locker-room up 7-0.
