Tampa, FL (Sports Network) – Ryan Malone had two goals and Tampa Bay fended off a late rally by the New York Rangers for a 5-3 win at St. Pete Times Forum.

Steven Stamkos scored his 21st goal of the season and assisted on each of Malone’s goals for Tampa Bay, which has won five straight. Brett Clark and Victor Hedman each tallied goals in the win, while Mike Smith turned away 17 shots.

Steve Eminger, Brian Boyle and Derek Stepan each scored during the final period for the Rangers, who have dropped three of their last five games.

Henrik Lundqvist stopped 29 of the 34 shots he faced in the loss.
