Not a trade, but a roster move; RHP Jeremy Hellickson will be called up from the AAA Durham Bulls and will start Monday’s game against the Minnesota Twins. A corresponding roster move to accommodate Hellickson’s spot on the roster will be announced later. The Rays regular starting pitching rotation will be pushed back one day. Manager Joe NMaddon says Hellickson is not joining the rotation, that this is merely designed to give the regular starters an extra day of rest. After Monday’s game, Hellickson is expected to return to Durham where he is 12-3 with an ERA of 2.45, 123 strikeouts and 35 walks in 117.2 innings (21 games, all starts) this season.
