The Puck Moving Defenseman Has Arrived

Local beat writers had been pointing this out for months: with the absence of Paul Ranger from the Lightning lineup, the team lacked a puck-moving defenseman to help the offense. Someone who could move the puck out of the defensive zone – by way of pass or carrying it – to help jump-start the offensive attack.

The Lightning signed such a player on Monday in 33 year old Brett Clark.
