Jaguars Top Buccaneers 19-13

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) – Luke McCown threw the game-winning touchdown pass and Josh Scobee booted four field goals as Jacksonville came from behind to beat Tampa Bay, 19-13, at Raymond James Stadium.

David Garrard played deep into third quarter and completed 24-of-31 passes for 211 yards, while Rashad Jennings carried four times for nine yards and caught four passes for 36 yards for the Jaguars, who won for the first time in three tries in preseason play.

Josh Johnson hit on 9-of-14 throws for 122 yards filling in for the injured Josh Freeman and Mike Williams grabbed three passes for 83 yards for the Buccaneers, who slipped to 1-2 in regular-season tune-ups.

The teams swapped first quarter field goals, as Scobee connected from 35 yards and Connor Barth hit from 51 yards away for the Bucs.

Play was then halted at the end of the first quarter for 35 minutes because of lightning.

Tampa Bay took a 10-3 lead late in the second quarter after a two-yard scoring toss from Johnson to Earnest Graham. Scobee’s second field goal of the night, from 43 yards, cut the lead to 10-6 at the half.

Barth and Scobee exchanged field goals in reverse order from earlier in the contest as the Bucs’ lead was trimmed from seven to four points in the third quarter.

McCown hit John Matthews on a 27-yard scoring strike to put the Jags in the lead at 16-13, and Scobee’s fourth field goal, a 48-yarder, gave the visitors a six-point cushion.
