Rays Snap Skid, Price Makes History

The Tampa Bay Rays ended a season-long 5 game losing streak with a 6-3 win over the Tigers in Detroit.

Starter David Price picked up the win, his 15th this season to establish sole possession of the season record for wins by a Rays pitcher. Price (15-5) worked just five innings, giving up five hits and two runs with nine strikeouts and four walks. Rafael Soriano closed out the game for his 32nd save.

The Rays offense was led by Matt Joyce who hit his sixth home run while driving in in two and John Jaso who had three hits and one run driven in. Ben Zobrist, Evan Longoria and Carl Crawford knocked in a run each in the effort.
