FSU At Duke: Seminoles Aim To End Losing Skid

The Florida State Seminoles (2-3, 0-2) visit Durham, NC to battle the Duke Blue Devils (3-2, 1-0) this Saturday at 3:00 Eastern.

This Saturday, Oct. 15, the now-unranked Florida State Seminoles (2-3, 0-2) can reach the .500 mark and end their three-game losing skid with a victory against the Duke Blue Devils (3-2, 1-0) in Durham, NC. History strongly favors the Seminoles, despite their struggles over the past three weeks: Duke has never defeated Florida State, a streak spanning 16 games over 19 years.

But the Seminoles' poor performance of late has some fans, including Bud Elliott of Tomahawk Nation, contending they should turn their attention to next season rather than worrying about salvaging this one. "This year needs to be about building confidence for next year," writes Elliott, who believes coach Jimbo Fisher ought to move his seniors down on the depth chart in order to develop younger players at their positions.

Though the Blue Devils own a better record than Florida State, they've had the luxury of facing an easier schedule, with victories against the Boston College Eagles, Tulane Green Wave, and Florida International Golden Panthers. Additionally, they lost their season opener to the non-major Richmond Spiders.

Kickoff between Florida State and Duke is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15, at 3:00 Eastern. RSN has the television broadcast.
