LeGarrette Blount was supposed to be out of the lineup for a few weeks with his knee injury, but it seems like his injury might be healing faster than originally anticipated. According to Stephen F. Holder of the St. Petersburg Times, Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris expects Blount to be back in the lineup when the Bucs face the Saints.
"I'm really confident about Blount," Morris said. "… He looked good running last week. He looked better (Wednesday). He'll have another week of rest and he'll be able to come back (next) week, get a bunch of treatment and be ready to go."
The Bucs had been shuffling some running backs on their roster, but all of the options to replace Blount and Earnest Graham, but all of their replacement options were less than inspiring. Blount would at least give them a headliner at the top of the depth chart, even if his backups are really open-mic material.
