Tampa Bay Lightning Vs. Boston Bruins Recap: Bruins Win 4-1 To Drop Lightning To 1-1-0

In a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference Finals, the results were repeated. The Boston Bruins found the back of the net four times en route to a 4-1 victory. After a nasty first period that included six visits to the penalty box, three for each team, the Bruins calmed down, and Rich Peverly scored the game's first goal two minutes into the second period on assists from Brad Marchand and Johnny Boychuk.

The Lightning equalized just over a minute later on a shot by Martin St. Louis, with assists by Ryan Malone and Vincent Lecavalier. But the Bruins continued the scoring flurry a minute and a half later on a Daniel Paille goal with assists from Adam McQuaid and Tyler Seguin.

The game then erupted into bedlam again, late in the second period, and the teams once again split six penalties. The Bruins took full control of the game three minutes into the third period with a goal by David Krejci with assists by Milan Lucic and Seguin again. Five minutes later, the Bruins sealed it with another goal by Rich Peverly with assists by Patrice Bergeron and another by Marchand.

With the win the Bruins are 1-1-0 and the Lightning fall to 1-1-0.
