The Jacksonville Jaguars finally got on the board in Indianapolis with under two minutes remaining in the third quarter. Blaine Gabbert hit Jarrett Dillard streaking to the end zone for the 11 yard touchdown and the 10-3 lead. The pass to Dillard completed a 16 play, 86 yard drive that took nearly 10 minutes of the fourth quarter. It was highlighted by a key 17 yard completion from Gabbert to Deji Karim on third and nine in their own territory. Karim had three catches on the crucial drive.
Maurice Jones-Drew has taken much of the pressure off the rookie quarterback, as the Jags have made a concerted effort to pound the rock against the Colts defense. Jones-Drew already has 20 carries through three quarters and has broken the century mark with 103 yards. Gabbert, meanwhile, is 10 of 17 for just 88 yards which is good enough to match the woeful Curtis Painter. The Jags enter the fourth quarter looking to hold the Colts at three and get out of Indy with the victory over the winless Colts.
