After finishing their season 12-3-3 and losing in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament, the South Florida Bulls men's soccer team was rewarded for their impressive season on Monday. The NCAA announced their seeding for their Division I tournament, and USF claimed the No. 7 seed.
This high seeding guarantees that the Bulls will have a first-round bye and play at least one home game. Their first game will be against the winner of Thursday's matchup between Florida Gulf Coast (12-5-2) and UCF (11-5-3), and they will play on Sunday at 6pm in Corbett Soccer Stadium.
It's somewhat depressing that the Bulls' best sport this season has been their men's soccer team, but hey, at least they have one sport that's competitive, right? After suffering through another disappointing football season, it's a breath of fresh air to hear about a program that's flourishing and has a chance at the NCAA championship.
